Likely spend is the mid cost of every issue rated common or universal, added together, what an unmaintained example owes over the next few years, not a prediction for any one car. Worst case if everything here failed at once is €4,200, which isn't a realistic scenario but is a useful ceiling.

All issues, by system

Transmission

PowerShift wet dual-clutch shift faults and control module failureFord PowerShift 6DCT450 six-speed wet dual clutch€250–€2,800
Harsh or delayed shifts, a judder when pulling away or at low speed, a transmission warning, and in later stages limp mode with only some gears available. This is the Getrag six-speed wet-clutch unit, and it depends on its fluid and filter, which are usually left alone for the life of the car. Its control module and solenoids also fail, and a fault in either feels like a clutch problem from the driver's seat.
Check: Drive from cold through slow traffic and feel for judder, flare or a delayed engagement, then scan the transmission for stored faults. Ask for the fluid and filter record, since most of these have never had one.

Turbo & intake

Carbon buildup on intake valvesdirect injection€400–€700
Rough cold idle, slow throttle response, misfires, gradual loss of low-end response. Direct injection puts no fuel over the intake valves, so crankcase vapour deposits bake on undisturbed.
Check: Not visible without a borescope. Treat it as a service item that's due unless there's a receipt. It's not a fault, it's an unbudgeted maintenance cost.

Suspension

Rear suspension bush and subframe wearMondeo platform€250–€700
A knock from the rear over bumps, vague handling, and uneven tyre wear at the back. The rear multi-link bushes wear, and cars that carried weight or covered high mileage go first. Corrosion of the subframe is a second issue in salted climates.
Check: On a ramp, lever the rear bushes for splitting and look at the subframe for corrosion, then listen for a knock over rough roads.

How to read this

Every issue is authored once against the part that actually carries it: the engine, the gearbox, the chassis or a shared component, and inherited by every variant that has that part. The badge next to each issue says where it comes from, so you can tell an TPBA problem from an E9x problem.

Evidence tiers. Manufacturer means a recall, technical bulletin or revised part number. Documented means workshop data or multiple independent sources. Reported means owner consensus with no hard confirmation, and never sets a risk level on its own.
