Lexus builds the Toyota mechanicals into a quieter, better-finished car, and the ownership record is close to the best in this database. Two things temper that. The 2.2 diesel shares the head problem of its Toyota cousin, and the specialist network is thinner than for the German makes, so you're more often at a dealer. Petrol cars are the ones to have, and they age remarkably well.
