The Corsa D was the volume small car of its era and parts cost almost nothing, which keeps ownership cheap even now. Listen for a chain rattle at a cold start and check the electric power steering, since column failures are documented and they arrive without much warning. Work the steering lock to lock while parked and feel for any notchiness. So look underneath for corrosion, because a 12-year-old supermini is judged on its body rather than its engine.
