1ZR-FAE 1.6 Valvematic
A port-injected chain-driven four with Toyota's Valvematic variable lift. There's no turbo, no high-pressure fuel pump and no particulate filter, which is why almost nothing goes wrong with it. It's slow, and that's the only real criticism.
