Brand-wide ownership notes
A used Jaguar gives you more car than the money should buy, which is the attraction and also the warning. Depreciation has already done its work, so what's left is a set of running costs that still belong to the original price bracket. The diesels are the sensible choice here and the electronics are where the irritations live.
Chassis
| Chassis | Body | Years | Character |
|---|---|---|---|
| X250 | sedan | 2007–2015 | An executive saloon that rides and steers better than the German three, with a cabin that still feels special. It was expensive new and it's remarkably cheap now. |
| X250 Sportbrake | wagon | 2012–2015 | The XF estate, launched with the facelift and sold with diesels only. It's as good to drive as the saloon and a great deal more useful. |
