Brand-wide ownership notes
Suzuki builds small cars that ask for very little, and the Swift is the clearest example of it. These are conventional and cheap mechanically, with no turbocharger on the volume petrol and no particulate filter to block. Corrosion and worn suspension are what end them, so look underneath before you look at the mileage.
Chassis
| Chassis | Body | Years | Character |
|---|---|---|---|
| FZ | hatchback | 2010–2017 | Light, keen and honest, and it costs less to run than almost anything else with four doors. There's nothing clever under the bonnet, which is exactly the point. |
